LunchFox: Child Safety Commitment Statement

Updated: March 2023

The LunchFox app links families, schools and local cafes, with parents placing orders remotely via an app. Café staff are responsible for delivering the orders to school and will be the only people from our service to enter school grounds during the day, unless team reps are invited by school leadership.

LunchFox Pty Ltd has a commitment towards child safety and zero tolerance towards child abuse.

We want children to be safe, happy and healthy. We support and respect all children, as well as our cafe staff and school teams.

We are committed to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children, the cultural safety of children from a culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability.

Our organisation is committed to preventing child abuse and identifying risks early, removing and reducing these risks. We encourage schools to determine their own child safe processes for receiving LunchFox orders: this may include asking delivery staff to hold Working with Children Checks or determining a delivery location that does not require contact with the children.

We have zero tolerance of child abuse, and all allegations and safety concerns will be treated very seriously and consistently.

School staff who develop concerns associated with the LunchFox service should:

  • Report these concerns to the child safety officer at their school, following the required processes and protocols
  • Report these concerns to their LunchFox rep, relaying the steps they have already taken within the school

We will respond to allegations or concerns quickly, working in partnership with the school and any necessary authorities.
